The first public release is on its way. Here is what is available and how the app will work.
System requirements
Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 15 or later. The current build does not support Intel Macs or Windows. Some locations need macOS folder permission or Full Disk Access to measure completely.
Buying and activating Pro
- Download the free app once the verified release is available.
- Use Buy Pro on the website or in the app to open the hosted Lemon Squeezy checkout.
- Find the license key in your purchase receipt.
- Open WDMDSG’s Pro window and paste the license key to activate this Mac.
This purchase flow opens with the public release. No checkout is enabled yet.
If Quick Cleanup is unavailable
Finish a fresh scan first. Saved historical results need to be refreshed. Quick Cleanup only recognizes specific npm, pip, Homebrew, and Xcode locations; it excludes unsupported, oversized, changed, or incompletely measured folders. Browsing suggestions is free; moving items to Trash requires an active Pro license.
If a folder asks for permission
The prompt comes from macOS. Grant only the access you want the app to have, or scan a different accessible folder. WDMDSG reports unreadable locations as measurement gaps. It cannot silently bypass macOS privacy protections.
Getting a useful diagnostic summary
In the app, choose Help → Export Diagnostic Summary. It saves locally and includes app/system information and limited scan-health counts without file names, paths, contents, or API keys. Review it before sharing.
